A few chessmen restored or w. sm. imperfection: the sword of one red pawn loose (but present); two white pawns lack sword (not present); the red king lacks the plume of his hat; a few red chessmen w. rubbed spots revealing the white colour of the ivory underneath.

WITH a CHINESE FOLDING CHESS BOARD, lacquered in black and gold, 19th cent., the "black" squares and the borders around the playing field as well as the sides of the chessboard richly decorated with gilt seated venerable men (on the black squares) and floral motifs (in borders) and men standing in front of a small house in a garden (on sides), 42,5x42,5x3,8 cm.
- The chess board duststained and a few scratches; one vertical side of the chess board scorched and blackened by fire.

= "Suck" special issue. Very explicitly illustrated and with the following text on the final page: "Final instructions: This is not a work of fiction or of one man. Keep your eye on it's bi-unity. I am smiling now. But if you don't think my story marvellous and you should happen to meet me, kindly pass as though we don't know each other. Moral: "At the moment of coitus all men are one man!"" The concept was conceived by the photographer Anna Beeke as an anti-pornographic statement. Her second husband Anthon Beeke did the layout. Parr/ Badger, Photobooks III, 84: "This charmingly liberated fairy story is gleefully hardcore - The point of the exercise, after all. The pornographic photography itself is timeless, that is to say standard and a little boring, but the factor that makes this a classic of 1970's counterculture literature and the legacy of 60s' 'flower power' - where sexual liberation was seen as the beginning of political liberation - is the inspired graphic design of Anthon Beeke. Krauss (1859-1839) was an ethnograph and folklorist, who studied amongst other things, the sex-life of different ethnic groups. Because of the subject of his studies he was attacked and prosecuted. He tried to create understanding for the deviant sexual preferences of human kind by studying them.
