= The only known print by Cornelius van Bellekin, from JEAN LE CARPENTIER, L'Histoire généalogique des Pais-Bas ou Histoire du Cambray et du Cambresis (Leiden, 1664). It shows the states general of the prince-bishopry of Cambray in session. Van Bellekin is mostly known as a painter and engraver of mother-of-pearl.

= On the first series ("Icones"): Bolten, Dutch and Flemish Drawing Books p.69-70 describes the editio princeps of ±1669 with a few dedication and contents leaves, the etchings unnumbered. On both series: cf. in extenso: J.G. van Gelder and I. Jost, Jan de Bisschop and his Icones & Paradigmata (...) (Doornspijk, 1985); cf. Hollstein 6 (a very incomplete entry). The first series reproducing Greek and Roman sculpture, the second series after i.a. Caracci, Dominichino and Michelangelo.
