= Cf. the drawings in the Nationalmuseum Stockholm (inv./cat.nr NMH 752/1973) and in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (RP-T-1898-A-3726). Especially the last drawing depicts the same man and also dated 1630. A drawing in the Graphische Sammlung im Städelschen Kunstinstitut, Frankfurt am Main (inv./cat.nr 3651), shows a different man, but with the exact same hat and coat, also dated 1630. In connection to these drawings it is also interesting to compare them with the print series by the artist Spigel, ofte Toneel der ydelheyd ende ongebondenheyd onser eeuwe (18 prints in total, published in 1633, i.a. Hollstein 109 and 118, showing the same man). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXVI.

- Upper edge some surface dam. (from frame). = SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXIX.
- Slightly yellowed; a few foxed spots.
AND 4 pencil drawings by J.C. SERVAIS (1x) and anonymous artists, all showing landscape or town views.

= On paper showing a large crowned coat of arms with a fleur-de-lis.
= Both w. (vague) collector's mark of J.H. Wiegersma (Lugt 1552b) and G. Ventura (Lugt 2501b) on recto.
- Slightly yellowed; a few grease stains in outer blank margins.
= See the drawing in the British Museum with the exact same composition (inv. no. 1836,0811.591), formerly attributed to Wijck, but now by an anonymous artist. Cf. the etching by Jan Vincentsz. van der Vinne, this composition in reverse (Hollstein 26). Hollstein attributing the composition to Thomas Wijck, but the style is very reminiscent of that of Jan Baptist Weenix (see also the curator's comments on the drawing in the BM). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXX.

- Margins extended; cut to the framing line, w. exception of the signature below the image.
= With the collector's mark of C. Duits (Lugt 533a) on recto. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXVII.
