Lessore, E.A. (1805-1876) (attrib.). (Domestic scene). Sketch in pen and brown ink (w. some wash), 12,4x22,5 cm.
- Foxed. = With the collector's stamp of C.W.A. Buma (Lugt 494a) in red in lower left corner recto.
- Sl. foxed.
Soer, C. (1882-1961) (attrib.). (Gevangenpoort in Bergen op Zoom). Drawing, black and red chalk and grey wash, 30,5x24 cm. - AND 2 sm. drawings by J.H. VAN MASTENBROEK: "Hoofdtoren Hoorn" (monogrammed and "19 Okt 99") and a view in Utrecht of the Weerdsluis (attrib.).
- Laid down on board; horizontal fold; soiled near left edge; hole in lower right corner; corners trimmed.
= A vague signature or annotation in pen and ink shining through, "R. Corbould" (in reverse and up-side-down). Probably a design for an illustration. A very sketchy profile of London in pencil in the centre.
- Yellowed; sl. soiled.
= Provenance: the collection of J. and C. Ulmann. With the collector's mark of Dr. Max A. Goldstein (Lugt 2824) on verso.

= Provenance: auctioned at Frederik Muller, december 1913 (lot 537); London at E. Parson & son, 1925 (cat. no.43, lot 176); Paul Brandt, Nov/ Dec. 1982 (lot no.989). With annotation "P. Molyn" on verso, whose style is very similar. On laid paper with double watermark of a foolscap and a bunch of grapes. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXVIII.
- Some sl. foxing and handling creases. = With the collector's mark of Albert van Loock on verso (Lugt 3751).
- Traces of rubbing from former frame in margins. Otherwise fine.
= The artist created other watercolours with Dordrecht views. Cf. the drawings in the Dordrecht municipal archive, especially the "Gezicht op de Voorstraatshaven, bij de Taankade" which is very similar in style and dated 9 september.
- Sl. yellowed; vertical fold.
- Browned; closed tear in left part.
= With a small manuscript note with biographical records written by one of the organizers of a lottery at the Groningen art society in November 1905. This drawing was one of the prizes.
- Four tears, just touching/ a few cm. within the image; somewhat browned, w. offsetting.

= German architect (of French origins) Louis Remy de La Fosse or Nicholas le Rouge, worked until 1705 as draughtsman in the atelier of Johann Friedrich Eosander in Berlin. In 1706 he became the court artchitect of Georg Ludwig of Hannover (later king George I of Great Britain). It is not certain whether these medallions were ever executed.

= Showing the Ooster Nieuwehoofd of Scheepsmakerspoort, De boompjes, the ship warf of Dutch East Indies Company and wind mill Kostverloren. A print with the same composition was made by Groenewegen in 1797 as part of a series of six views of the Maas. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXXII.
