Idem (in the style of). (Dragoon on horseback). Drawing, pen and ink and watercolour, 22,5x15,5 cm.
- With later (clumsily) added monogram "WS" in lower right margin.
ADDED: a similar drawing by monogrammist "J.A.S." (A cavalry man on horseback) (watercolour, 26,5x17,5 cm.).
- Laid down on mount; sl. (unevenly) yellowed.
Idem. (Portrait of a man). Drawing, pen and black ink, 14x11 cm., w. monogram stamp in lower right corner and w. his purple atelier stamp on verso (Lugt 2341b). - AND 2 other pencil and black ink studies, possibly by the same.
- Some small tears/ defects in margins (upper margin worse); sl. yellowed/ partly foxed (verso worse); upper right corner w. fold.
= Published in Gil Blas, 20 October 1895, Year 5, No.42. From the former collection of Willy Sluiter w. his annot. in blue pencil on verso: "Willy Sluiter van Eduard (...) Koster Den Haag, 23 April 1912".
- Sl. foxed in left margin. = Attribution in old hand on mount.
= A very similar drawing was made by L.P. Serrurier (1706-1751).
- A few foxed spots; brownish stain in centre.

- Two horizontal/ one vertical folds; partly browned; cut short.
= With 2 collector's marks near lower edge: one potentially "HWC" (collection H.W. Campen; not in Lugt) and one "IS" (cf. Lugt 1530: potentially by John Spencer). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLII.
- Upper margin laid down on mount; verso w. traces of former mounting in left margin (sl. shining through).
= Bridsaard was a small village in Hennaarderadeel, Friesland, and now part of Wommels.
- Foxed.
= Tipped onto mount with annotation "(...) Elise Thomsen". Elise was the daughter of the artist, so perhaps from her collection. With manuscript caption "Huusmandens Børn".
- Browned and soiled; chafed spots; closed tear near upper border.
= Mostly religious texts but also some alphabets.
- Trifle dustsoiled in margins; otherwise fine.
= Fine and skilful trompe l'oeil, simulating i.a. drawings or engravings of interior views and Dutch village views and a portrait of "Mr. Wagenmaker".

- Oblique crease w. some clumsily restored parts in centre; trifle foxed/ browned; 2 wormholes.
= Attractive composition i.a. w. 6 (4x col.) drawings of people in landscapes; the title-p. of "Sabinus en Eponina; Treurspel" (Amst., I. Duim, 1741) and miscell. calligraphed textpages.
- Dam. area in lower margin and small dam. spot in sky area (restorable); paint in outer margin flaked off (not visible); some craquelé; varnish occas. yellowed.

- Some foxing.Ruytenschildt, A.J. (1778-1841). (Study of a man lying on his stomach). Drawing, black crayon, 15x17 cm., monogrammed "AJR" in lower left corner, framed.
- A few vague stains and some sl. foxing.
Anonymous (18th cent.). (Soldier with a lance). Drawing, pencil, 8,5x7,5 cm., framed.
- Two folds in top margin.
= LNP 109; Van H. 143.
= On 17th century laid paper with a vague unidentified (partial?) watermark. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLIII.
= On laid paper with Amsterdam coat of arms. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLIV.
= On verso an annotation in pencil: "Aqua Citola 1674". SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLIV.
- Some very vague folds/ creases. Verso some sm. brown stains, sl. shining through and 3 rubbed spots in upper margin from former mounting.
- Sl. foxed.
= On woven paper. The clothing of the skaters can be dated around 1800-1810.
- Crease near left edge; nevertheless fine.
= On paper with large "Pro Patria" watermark. With attribution on verso mount.
- A few vague foxed spots; a few tiny defects to the paper/ ink in left part. Not examined outside frame.
- Foxed. = Previously attributed to Van de Velde. From the collection of I.Q. van Regteren Altena.
- Image cropped compared to the published print.
Monogrammist "M de RA" (early 20th cent.). "J.E.W. Duijs. Impressie van verre gezien". Drawing, black chalk, finished w. brown and white, monogrammed, "25 Maart 1913" and titled.
= Nice, somewhat caricatural portrait, possibly by Marie van Van Regteren Altena.
- With numerous pinholes for copying the composition; cut in two section and later reattached.
= With the collector's mark of Emile Wauters (Lugt 911) on recto. With watermark coat of arms with a French lily. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLV.
= Cut out sections from calligraphed texts or letters, showing i.a. exotic figures and a carnation.
Greeve, S. (1760-±1815). (Boy klinging to a cow). Drawing, brush and brown ink, 7x12 cm., signed "S: Greeve fec 1811 10/2" in pencil.
= Perhaps intended for an album amicorum.
Ven, H. van de (late 18th cent.). "Gezigt van de opkruying vanhet Ys, de overstrooming, en de dykbreuk te Veuuren den 22sten February 1799". Drawing, brush/ pen and ink, 18,2x31,4 cm.
- Somewhat soiled.
= A view by an amateur of the village of Vuren which was flooded after the dyke breach caused by the ice shove in february 1799.
AND 8 other drawings: 7 small drawings by F. KLUPPEL (all signed and dated 1803), a portrait of a gentleman ("Hr. Pauw te s'hage overleden in den Jaer 1818").
- Sl. yellowed; upper corners repaired; vague horizontal fold; verso rubbed along upper margin from former mounting.
ADDED: a pen and ink drawing of the Smaksteeg, Amsterdam (26x15 cm., titled and signed "GWillemsen" in pencil. Browned).
- Tipped onto mount. = For the greater part a capriccio.
- Lacks lower left corner; dam. spot in lower right corner; pinholes in upper corners; sm. tear in upper right corner; remnants of former tipping in on verso.
= Attractive view.
- Tipped together on one mount. = Nice views. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLV.
- Cut to the borderline and laid down (signature probably cut off).
- Sl. duststained/ foxed; paper remnants of former tipping-in on verso.
= With the collector's marks of W. Pitcairn Knowles (1820-1894) (Lugt 2643) and Herman Gerard Mos (1875-1945) (Lugt 3882). On laid paper with foolscap watermark. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXLVIII.
- Laid down on later stiff paper; a vague drawing on verso shining through; sm. section filled in w. white gouache.
- Vertical fold near left edge. = Location specified in later hand on paper mount.
- Sl. yelllowed and dustsoiled. = On slightly stiff paper.
- Browned; some scattered mouldy specks.
= Resembling the composition of J.-L. David's "The Death of Marat".
