= Provenance: the collection of G.A. Lindeboom w. his bookplate on upper pastedown. Lindeboom 111: "After Boerhaave's death several authors published books under this or a similar title. Haller, probably Boerhaave's most gifted and productive pupil, edited the lectures given by Boerhaave and taken down by his pupils. Afterwards, a few professors built up their lectures as an explanation of Boerhaave's Institutiones, and published them later. Boerhaave's teaching books proved for a long time to be a most suitable aid to professors teaching medicine.
