= Prints by i.a. Jabes Heenck, Pieter Janson, Johannes Christiaan Janson, Jacob Ernst. Marcus, Pieter de Mare, Aart Schouman, Rudolph Sondagh, Hendrik Spilman, Jurriaan Cootwijk, Hermanus van Brussel, Hendrik Busserus and Ernst Bagelaar.
- Broad margins sl. browned and w. traces of former mounting in upper blank margin. = Hollstein 51.
AND 2 other etchings (after the same?) and an etching by Albert CUYP from the Set of cows (browned and partly laid down).
- Trimmed just outside the platemark; sl. vague impression.
= Etchings by Rembrandt printed in sanguine are very rare (no other copy of this print in sanguine traced). New Hollstein 269, 2nd state (of 3). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CVIII.
- Trimmed ±1 mm outside the platemark; vague glue remnants of former mount along edge on verso. Fine copy.
= On thick (18th cent.?) laid paper. New Hollstein 45, 2nd state of 3, before the re-biting by the Basan workshop, but with the horizontal scratch between figures, common in the later impressions. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CVIII.
- Trimmed just outside the borderline. Fine, strong dark impression on late 17th/ early 18th cent. laid paper, no watermark.
= New Hollstein 302, 4th state (of 5), before the restoration of the shadow on the wall between Christ and the woman.
- Sl. browned/ vaguely foxed; Lower left, upper right and lower right corners repaired.
= New Hollstein 264, 9th state (of 10); Bartsch and White/ Boon 272; Nowell-Usticke B272. "The sitter was a well known publisher of prints, working in Amsterdam from about 1640 until his death in 1679. His inventory (...) contains a long list of prints by Rembrandt." (Hollstein).
- Good strong, dark impression.
= On laid paper (late 17th?/ early 18th cent.). New Hollstein 140, the 3rd state (of 4). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIX.
- Good impression on contemp. paper w. unidentified watermark, trimmed on/ just inside the platemark. Some sm. thin spots, partly strengthened on verso. Verso w. the collector's stamps of i.a. A. Artaria (Lugt 33) and Julius von Elischer (Lugt 824).
= Hollstein/ Bartsch 341, 2nd state (of 2). Attributed to Ferdinand Bol, Hollstein 21 (Study for the large Jewish bride). Rare. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIX.
- Sl. yellowed; verso w. paper tape along outer margins. = Delteil 15, the second state (of 2).
= Comprises i.a. snakes, frogs, lizards, turtles and chameleons. = Nissen, ZBI 4617.
- Contents very fine. Covers sunned; corners and spine-ends rubbed/ sl. worn.
= Beautiful equitation series, in strong impressions. Thienemann 606-627 (incomplete series); Schwerdt III, p.142; Mennessier de la Lance II, p.428 (stating that he has never encountered a complete copy of this series). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIX.
- Partly stained/ sl. foxed, especially lower half. = Printed on 18th cent. paper. I.a. Bartsch 59, 77 and 67.

"4" in lower right corner.
- Two tears in right margin of image; a few black crayon[?] scratches in image.
