= Originally part of the collection of Hotel Spaander in Volendam, given by the artist as payment. Margaret Moscheles (born Sobernheim) was a British Jewish artist from Berlin, who married the artist Felix Moscheles. Both stayed in Volendam in 1903.

However the plate was cut smaller and a fragment with the sluice was cut off and 14 copies were printed (of which 10 for the company Scheltema & Holkema).
