Anonymous (mid 20th cent.). (Three giraffes galloping through the savannas). Drawing, pen and ink, 29,5x35,7 cm.
= Pencil annot. on verso w. attribution to "Frans Smits" (prob. F.J.Th. Smits (act. 1935-1939)).
AND 8 miscellaneous others, i.a. Michiel H. van TILBURG, (A soldier reported to his officers) (drawing, pencil, 24x30,5 cm., signed "van Tilburg" in lower right corner. A few (closed) tears in margin; pinholes in corners).
- Very vague oblique fold; trifle yellowed.
- One trifle browned stain; otherwise all fine.
= Drawings of a thorncrowned Jesus Christ, a landscape view within a circular border line and two larger battle views.
- Slightly thumbed; restored/ retouched portion in lower right corner; vague waterstain in lower part.
= Pannebakker apparently made more than one version of the first view. The Noord-Hollands Archief also holds a version of this drawing (inv. nr. 41508). Provenance: the collection A.M. van den Broek with his annotation on verso of the first drawing. The Zijlklooster was demolished in 1818.

- A few very sm. dam.(?) spots.
= On blue laid paper with a watermark showing a stylized tree with the word "wolfhagen"(?) below.
- Brown stain in upper part; laid down on sl. later paper.
= A more pronounced sketch of the lightning bolt on verso of the orginal leaf can be seen shining through. The original design for the engraved plate in DANIEL DEFOE, Réflexions sérieuses et importantes de Robinson Crusoe (Amst., 1722). It was also used in the Dutch edition (engraving supplied).
= Design for a medaillon. An engraving of this subject was made by B. Picart in 1730, after the drawing of 1715 [this drawing?].

(Dillen, Georg van (act. 1800-1830)). (Two travellers walking along a stream in a wooded landscape). Drawing, pen and ink, 18x24,8 cm. Bendorp, Johann (1767-1849). (An angler and a passer by near a bridge and farm). Drawing, brush and grey wash, 6,7x12 cm., signed and dated "1782" in pen and ink on verso.
- Both mounted on limp board; edges w. some worn spots and (glue)stains from former framing.
= On 17th/ 18th cenntury laid paper.
