= Struwwelpetriade with 5 different stories. Not in Rühle but cf. Rühle 393, mentioning a German edition or version by Else Dorn (published by Löwensohn, Fürth?), with the exact same stories, i.a. a boy who falls into a large barrel, filled with marmelade and has to be hosed down by a firefighter. Rühle dates the German version ±1925. The illustrations seem to be of German origin, perhaps by Fritz Baumgarten. So probably this is a Dutch version after the German.

This exemplary "Dutch Patriotic" courtesy book was posthumously published from the left papers of J.H. Swildens (1745-1809), professor at Franeker and convinced "Patriot" (...)". The plates and title-vignette are all beautifully handcoloured; interestingly the title-page does not refer to the plates being coloured, whereas the publisher's printed wrappers explicitly state that the plates are coloured. This shows that the coloured copies were made specifically at the publisher's request. With letterpress schoolprize bound in before title, awarded to "C.W.J. van Boetselaer", dated 1813.
