= An illustrator and artist who was mostly known as a culinary author in later years. Nice letter in which Jans complains to his uncle on the lack of paid work and sending the promised bookplates. The drawings are illustrations of the things addressed in the letter.

The album was also used for another event which took place at "Station Overtoom te Amsterdam Februari 1904", probably the official ceremony for the commissioning of the current Tramlijn 1. Autographs include those of Johannes Diderik van der Waals, Piet Zeeman, W.P. van Wickevoort Crommelin, J.B. van Heutsz, Hendrikus Colijn, Eugène Dubois and A.J.N. Engelenberg.
