Then sold in the auction of his collection at Galerie Georges Petit, on 8-10 june 1920, under lot number 21 (German school, 16th cent.); sold in auction, 25 June 1970, Sotheby's London (lot 241); sold in auction in 1995 at Sothebys Amsterdam; Belgian private collection. Swart made a series of woodcuts showing a part of the parade of Suleiman, the Turkish emperor (Hollstein 8-12), published by Willem Liefrinck as a frieze in 1526.
