The book includes chapters on daily life, food, herbs, brewing beer and wine. Woodcuts include: a vomiting drunkard ("De ebrietate"), a man taking a siesta ("De somno meridiano"), a couple embracing in bed ("De venere") and a man crouched over a chamber-pot.
