= The English edition of the famous SHV-book, published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Steenkolen Handels Vereeniging. It was designed by Irma Boom and was awarded several prizes, but was never for sale. The production of the book took 5 years of research and design, and the result is overwhelming in its abundance of illustrations, its graphic design and ideas. The book measures 23x18 cm., is 12 cm. thick, weighs 3,5 kg. and has 8 ribbons. Its fore-edge is decorated with tulips when viewed from one side and shows a poem by Gerrit Achterberg when viewed from the other side to mention just one of the many features. (Paul van Capelleveen on the website on the Dutch Royal Library, www.kb.nl). With loosely inserted invitation/ program booklet of anniversary festivities.
