78/ 51 [Coster, Laurens Jansz.]. Broadside, 53,5x45,8 cm., 4 letterpress poems divided by typographical borders, publ. Amst., J. Wendel en Zoon, 1823.

- Waterstained in right margin (affecting sm. part of the text); ruststain from former paperclip in left margin; formerly folded w. some creasing along folds and 1x sl. split at end of horizontal fold.

= This broadside was apparently printed on the final evening of the frestivities. The end of the second poems reads: "Niet een der levenden mogt ooit zoo iets aanschouwen; Men kon zyne oogen, noch zyne ooren naauw vertrouwen!

"Programma [for the celebrations of the invention of printing].

- Some old folds and creases. Otherwise fine.

= Apart from celebrating and justifying the fact that the invention of printing should be celebrated in Haarlem, and in passing explaining why the date of mid 1823 was chosen for these celebrations, the broadside lists the numerous activities that have been planned for the festivities to be held on 11 and 12 July.

AND 3 other letterpress broadsides printed for the same occasion: "Kennisgeving. (...) Ruststains from former paperclip in left margin) and "De ondergeteekende [J.S.

They are very faithful copies and have been described as scarcely distinguishable from the originals. This is a slight exaggeration, but the cuts are, nevertheless, extremely good copies.
