= A fine collection of Hogenberg's Geschichtsblätter, rarely found thus complete. The series contains 2 extra unnumb. plates and 1 extra (unnumb.) portrait. The plate numbering skips one plate (no.184). F.M. 413: "Prentwerk (...) over de gebeurtenissen in Nederland, Frankrijk, Duitschland, enz., van 1558-1610, ook over het jaar 1535, en eenige platen over 1611-1632; te zamen 375 à 400 platen (...) Iedere plaat met een 12- of 16 reg. Duitsch vers (...). Dit uiterst belangrijke en vrij zeldzame werk is voor de kennis der Nederl. geschiedenis van groot gewigt, daar het ten tijde der gebeurtenissen zelve vervaardigd en uitgegeven is. (...) de meeste Exemplaren bevatten 375 à 400 platen; doch al die verschillende platen bijeengenomen wordt het een getal van 482, die zeker nooit bijeen te vinden zijn, en waarvan vele slechts in 1 of 2 Exemplaren werden gevonden.
