= Title supplied in calligraphy in pen and ink on verso of a "Mededelingen van de Documentatiedienst" card of the Nederlands Letterkundig Museum en Documentatiecentrum. With an annotation by C. Reedijk stating that the medallions were a gift from Sem Hartz, on occasion of Hartz' visit to him to draw his portrait for the frontispiece of the second Album amicorum for C. Reedijk.
WITH: an oval portrait medallion of Erasmus, in soft stone (Ø 2 cm.), with an impression of the same in gypsum (in board box w. autograph dedication in lid: "Portret van een vriend, voor een verre vriend, met hartelijke groeten voor jullie beiden van Toet en Sem").
- Trifle yellowed; some (vague) folds and creases in blank margins.
= "(...) De prent van Huygens werd mij opgedragen door Jean François van Royen (...). Door de inval van de moffen, die Van Royen later zouden afmaken, kon ik alleen nog clandestien of voor besloten kring werken.
