The Dordrecht Synod was decisive for the future of the Dutch Republic, because it made the Dutch Reformed Church the official state church. Kühler (16e eeuw) p.436: "Voor Rome is het Concilie van Trente, voor de Gereformeerden de Synode van Dordrecht een keerpunt geweest." Rare.
- Sl. fingersoiled. Poor binding; upper cover lacks stiff paper board; worn along extremities.

= Boëtius Epo (real name Bote Ypes) (1562-1599) was a Frisian lawyer and scholar, who was a professor in law at the universities of Louvaini, Toulouse and Paris.
