- Traces of rubbing from former frame in margins. Otherwise fine.
= The artist created other watercolours with Dordrecht views. Cf. the drawings in the Dordrecht municipal archive, especially the "Gezicht op de Voorstraatshaven, bij de Taankade" which is very similar in style and dated 9 september.
- Sl. yellowed; vertical fold.
- Browned; closed tear in left part.
= With a small manuscript note with biographical records written by one of the organizers of a lottery at the Groningen art society in November 1905. This drawing was one of the prizes.
- Four tears, just touching/ a few cm. within the image; somewhat browned, w. offsetting.

= Five very small initials by different persons in pencil on verso (perhaps collector's marks).

= Title in contemp. hand on verso, the tower shown however resembles the Amsterdamsche Poort in Haarlem, but is not identical (the central tower is absent and the porch is different).
= Verso w. stamp of "Veiling vente 1968 H. Evenepoel Antwerpen Campo" and w. the collector's stamp of C. de Mey on verso (not in Lugt).
= Titled "Slot te Haamstede (eiland Schouwen)"; "Windenburg bij Dreischor (eiland Schouwen)"; "Ruine te Haaften in de Thielerwaard"; "Westhoven bij Domburg" and "Crooi bij Helmont".

- Slightly foxed (mainly) in blank parts.
