= The second book publication by modernist architect Yakov Chernikhov in which he laid out his inventive architectural ideas. Rowell/ Wye 857; Compton, Russian Avant-Garde Books 1917-34, p.142: "(...) it was a practical textbook aimed at students (...) and it seems remarkable today for its myriad of geometric conceits generated without the help of a computer". = Compton, Russian Futurist Books 1912-16, p.38f and illustration on frontcover; Rowell/ Wye 90. The only (double) issue published of one of the first Russian futurist periodicals, which was intended to be published 6 times a year. With literary contributions by i.a. V. Mayakovsky, V. Khlebnikov, V. Shershenevitch and B. Livshits, partly with free/ experimental typography. Very rare. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XV.

= With an introduction by Hungarian communist leader Béla Kun who was arrested, tried and executed as a Trotskyist counter-revolutionary in 1938, upon which the book was withdrawn from circulation in the Soviet Union. On the backwrapper a nice photomontage depiction of the capitalist world order. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XVII.

= Contains interesting free typography/ page design, somewhat in the style of Tatar constructivist Faik Tagirov. Very rare.
