= Rare Dutch first edition, which wasn't very well received by Dutch critics at the time. In a 1911 review of the work by J. Greshoff, Du Quesne-Van Gogh is accused of writing the work to benefit from her brother's fame. Critics also pointed out several falsehoods or mistakes. A revised edition addressing these mistakes appeared in 1923, under a different title. De Parelduiker, 2012/1, p.31ff.
