= Cut-out plates for a ninepins game. Fgures depicting i.a. a clown, an elderly gentleman, a sailor and a policeman.

= Curious game, illustrating the changed perspective on racial matters: "(...) In order to make it more difficult ot shoot the n[***] off, make the horse rock by giving same a slight touch on the hind legs" [from the rules].
ADDED: Le Nègre Vorace. N.pl., n.publ., n.d. (±1950?), col. plate (9x9 cm.) and 6 small metal balls, together in box w. glass pane on top, w. lid w. identical col. plate.
= Game of skill wth the goal to maneuver the balls into the hole in the open mouth of the black figure.

= A rare parlor game were players must compete to correctly identify musical themes printed on the back of various color-coded paper slips. Included is a booklet of playing instructions as well as a full list of all of the printed musical themes. Dedicated to Queen Elisabeth of Belgium. Hitster avant la lettre.
- Fine and attractively handcol. copy.
= The "stoombootspel" is a kind of "ganzebord" or goose game. Papertoys p.272 (ill. (this copy)) and 273: "Afgebeeld is waarschijnlijk het in 1823 gebouwde raderstoomschip 'De Nederlander', eigendom van de Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij te Rotterdam, dat zowel passagiers als vracht vervoerde."
= Cf. Tietjens-Schuurman, Van toverlantaarn tot kinematograaf no.371. Early precursor of motion pictures. By the mid-19th century, the Phenakistoscope became very popular and was published by various publishers under various different names. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XLIX.

= The text cards contain a cryptic description of something, which is depicted on the corresponding picture card. I.a. "Ich bin nicht mehr in Mutterleib/ Und bin doch nicht gebohren/ Und bin zum Kinder Zeitvertreib/ Zur Speiss und Frank erkohren" (an egg). Very rare, no copy traced. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XLVIII.
- Folded. = Variation on goose board, published as supplement to the Kinder-courant (vol. 22).
