= With an interesting letter, a draft (?) w. corrections and various crossed out words, to a prospective customer: "Ik heb wel alle mogelijke moeite gedaan om de door uw teruggezondene tekening van de vlekken te zuijveren maar nu omdat dezelve door het papier heen zijn was t mij niet mogelijk die geheel te maaken (...) ik heb de tekening na dezelve schets nog eens geteekend, omdat uw verkiezing op die gevallen was. (...) om uijt de anderen bijzijnde tekeningen een te kiezen, ik zal morgen avond de portefeuille weerom komen haalen indien uw mij dan op de eene of andere wijze, uw besluyt geliefde te laate weeten zoude uwe verpligten, die met zeer veel estime verblijft (...) [signature]" Bought by a previous owner at the gallery of Henk J. Stokking in 1984.
