84/5199 Ferri, Ciro (1634-1689) (attrib.). (The goddess Diana resting). Drawing after Pietro da CORTONA, graphite on grey prepared paper, 17x27 cm., annot. "Pietro" in pen and ink.

- With a few sm./ tiny holes; a few rubbed spots along extremities; there is a hint of white gouache, but mostly worn off(?).

= After the arched wall painting in Palazzo Pitti in the Sala di Giove. Possibly by Ciro Ferri, Cortona's pupil. Compare the drawing by Ferri sold at Swann's in 2003, with the same collector's mark. With a collector's mark showing a Florentine lion and "PM" monogram within a circle and a mounted letterpress section "di Pietro da Cortona" on recto (Lugt 2099, probably a Florentine collector, mostly found with a printed mounted text with the name of the artist "di (....)") a. Probably an 18th century collector. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIV.
