- Browned, w. offsetting from former passepartout; glassine remnants along edges on verso.

= With a (later?) annotation in French: "Ruine du clocher de l'ancienne ville de Calais un(?) demi lieu de la moderne (unread) chemins de Boulogne a Gravelines". This church was demolished in 1882, to make way for a hospital, on the Quai du Commerce towards the St. Pierre bridge. On laid paper with the watermark of J. Honig en Zoonen (±1765-1800).

- Occas. some sm. defects.

= According to annotations on one of the passepartouts these drawings were found in the attics of Antwerp's townhall during the 'French occupation' and attributed at the time to Rubens. They were found pasted into a book on architectural ornaments and figures.

= On laid paper with the watermark of Adriaan Rogge (act. 1759-1816). Attractive example of a Dutch neoclassicist interior.

- Formerly folded; creases in upper margin; some vague foxed spots.

= On laid paper with Pro Patria Watermark. With the collectors' marks of i.a. Lodewijk Houthakker on verso of passepartout (Lugt 3893). Führing, Design into Art (1989), no. 441: "The oval frame, for a picture or a mirror, has a decoration of Mercury's staff and laurel leaves on the left and a snake and a hand-mirror with roses on the right. For another use for a similar frame, see the drawing by Pierre Clément Marillier (1740-1808) for an engraved portrait frame in the Kunstbibliothek in Berlin".
