70/2695 Judaica and hebraica Religious wish
70/2695 [Judaica and hebraica]. (Religious wish). Manuscript leaf, recto only, pen and (col.) ink, gold paint, on thin vellum, 19th cent.(?).

= A manuscript probably from a Jewish community in the Arab world. A rough translation of the wish is: "May it be the will of God to forgive us and may the Temple be soon rebuilt". Above the names of YHVH and Moses together, which is very unusual in Jewish communities. In the Arab world the names of Allah and Mohammed are often combined, so this is perhaps a Jewish version. The text in the menorah shape is Psalm 67.
