Contemporary marbled and gilt polished calf: gilt panelled calf, inner panel w. central ornament of crowned drawer handles on marbled calf enclosing an intricate floral filigree composition, surrounded by a semis of gilt stars within a dark brown calf border within linear gilt fillet line, second panel: marbled calf surrounded by a gilt floral border (0,4 mm) w. corner fleurons, third panel: plain blond calf within a sl. broader (0,6 mm) gilt floral, fourth panel: marbled calf within sl. broader (0,8 mm) gilt floral border, richly gilt spine, folio. - ON: Commelin, C.
