Tempesta, A. (1555-1630).
The Works of Hercules.
Title print and 12 etchings, each ±10x14 cm., Rome, N. van Aelst, 1608.
- All sl./ trifle foxed/ soiled.
= The address of Van Aelst seems to be erased from the title, so perhaps a slightly later edition? Bartsch 788-799. A rare complete set. These prints show not all the works, but two show Hercules as a child killing the serpents in his crib and Hercules killing the centaur Nessus, whose blood will kill him in the end.
