Two leaves from a Persian work, prob. 16th cent., text in pen and black ink within elaborate decorative border in colours and gold (2x) w. very fine illuminated headpiece on first (title) leaf, recto only (1st leaf)/ recto and verso (2nd leaf), both 30x18,5 cm. (leaf size).

- Sl. fingersoiled; first leaf lacks sm. portion of upper corner and vaguely waterst. in lower margin (w. sl. bleeding of red ink).

= Two consecutive leaves, prob. the beginning of an official document from a court or palace. Persian text interspersed with Arabic (the title being entirely in Arabic). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXVII.
