D'Aiguillon encloses a (4)p. report of all that has been found concerning this matter in the archives of the Foreign Office. In 1770 d'Aiguillon became minister of Foreign Affairs. In 1775, following the disgrace of the marquis De Monteynard, he also became Minister of War.
