LEF proved a stronger and more enduring group than Kom-fut or MAF and, as well as publishing books, initiated a journal, LEF, which ran to seven issues between April 1923 and the beginning of 1925. (...) The first number included the text of Brik's Not a Fellow Traveller (Ne poputchitsa) and Mayakovsky's About This (Pro eto) - both of them published under separate covers later in the year. The cover of Brik's Not a Fellow Traveller (...) was executed by Lavinsky, who based it on an earlier idea by Mayakovsky" (p.54). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XV.
