Copy in the rare binding by Roland Holst (an adaptation of the binding he designed for Majesteit in 1893), with the title misspelled Herackles on the binding and with the addition "Roman in twee deelen" by L.J. Veen (disapproved of by Couperus) on the title-p. "Deze uitvoering in de band van Majesteit, met de eigenmachtige toevoeging op het titelblad en met de foutief gespelde titel geldt alleen voor exemplaren op dik papier [750 copies]". (Van Vliet).
