- Generally in fine condition, with the following 8 prints with small defects in mainly blank lower margin: Hollstein 543 verso w. brown stain in upper margin (not visible on recto); H.545 a few closed small tears in lower blank margin and some vague offsetting in lower blank margin from former opposite leaf; H.549 vague oblique fold; H.552 three small closed tears in lower margin, one just touching image in lower left corner; H.553 four closed tears in lower margin, one tear into right hind leg of horse (and partly not closed); H.555 two small closed tears in lower blank margin; H.557 two small closed tears in lower margin into caption; H.558 two small closed tears in lower blank margin just touching caption.

= Hollstein 543-558, all engravings in the 1st state of three, on paper w. various watermarks, i.a. Briquet 11242 (hand with heart) and a bird resembling Briquet 12200. Magnificent series of horses in Italianate landscapes. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CVIII.
