= The very rare first edition of this beautifully illustrated book, edited by P. S.(criverius). Praz p.366; Landwehr 292; Simoni H36; Oberlé, Fastes 1032 (first separate ed. of the Hymnus); cf. Scheepers I, 354, listing the 2nd ed. published in 1618. The first part contains i.a. the Emblemata amatoria with the delicate emblems in strips at the head of the pages. The second work, dedicated to the Bacchus cult by the learned neo-Latin scholar Heinsius is much less known and can be regarded as one of the few fine, original Dutch wine books, with superb illustrations. "Le Blon heeft zijn vriend Willem Jansz Blaeu geholpen bij de nieuwe drukken van Daniel Heinsius' Nederlandse gedichten (...) Met zijn broer Christoffel, Simon van de Passe en anderen maakte hij kleine adaptaties in zeer klein formaat van de gravures naar De Gheyn voor de Emblemata amatoria. Deze waren bestemd voor de miniatuur uitgave van c. 1615 (...) Deze prentjes vindt men ook in de kwarto uitgave van het volgend jaar, onder de titel Nederduytsche poemata. Deze bijzonder fijne gravures, die aan goudsmidwerk doen denken, zijn karakteristiek voor de kunst van Le Blon" (Fontaine Verwey II,64).
