= An attractively bound copy (57,5x38 cm. (binding)) of Blaeu's two townbooks of the Low Countries, nowadays rarely on the market in this fine condition, with very wide margins (56x35 cm. (leaf)) and in contemporary and attractively gilt bindings. Contents conforming to the binder's index, but with one extra double-p. plan of Purmerend. Apparently a variant of Van der Krogt 43:112, which lists one plate ("Tabula Praelii prope Neoportum") not present in our copy and not called for in the index of our copy (the custodes follow the correct order). A monument of Dutch cartography, the 'Townbooks' of Blaeu show the Netherlands and present day Belgium in their full splendour, depicting in the plates both the plans/ bird's eye views and fortifications of the towns and cities as well as some of the most important monumental buildings in attractive views. SEE ILLUSTRATIONS PLATE LXVII.
