= Ritzer E9. One of the few Roman numbered copies. Roman numbered "VII" on colophon, H.C. copy not for sale on Maillol-Kessler paper and printed for the translator EDWARD SACKVILLE WEST. The Cranach Presse was known for its finely printed editions of non-German literature. So it was natural for the Woolfs to commission the Cranach Presse to print the English edition of Rilke's Duineser Elegien. It is one of the finest printed works by the Hogarth Press.
